Alt-Classicは、関西を拠点に、まだ名前のない表現の可能性を探るアートプロジェクトです。

アーティスト・コレクティブ、メディア、コミュニティ、セッションイベントなど、さまざまなかたちで、ジャンルや領域を越えた表現と人々をつなぎ、新しいアイデアが生まれる機会をつくります。

Alt-Classicは、Alternative Classicから生まれた名前です。

いま「クラシック」と呼ばれているものも、かつては新しく、まだ名前のない表現でした。

異なる表現が出会い、これまでになかったものが生まれること。
その可能性が、いつか新しいクラシックへとつながっていくこと。

100年後にクラシックと呼ばれる、まだ見ぬ表現のためのプラットフォームとしてAlt-Classicは機能します。

Alt-Classic is an art project based in Kansai, Japan, exploring possibilities in forms of expression that have yet to be named.

Through an artist collective, media, community, open sessions, and other activities, Alt-Classic connects people and forms of expression across genres and disciplines, creating opportunities for new ideas to emerge.

The name Alt-Classic comes from Alternative Classic.

What we call “classic” today was once new, unfamiliar, and yet to be named.

When different forms of expression meet, something that has never existed before can emerge.
And those possibilities may one day become a new classic.

Alt-Classic is a platform for forms of expression yet unseen, which may be called classic a hundred years from now.
